Training for Teacher Trainers from South East Europe

The call is now open for participants for the 2017 South East Europe Regional Summer Academy which will provide a training for teacher trainers from South East Europe in September. Deadline for applications is August 10.

The training of trainer course aims to introduce latest Council of Europe programmes, resources and tools relevant for citizenship and human rights education to teacher trainers, including the competences for democratic culture. The academy will support the implementation of training events at national  and local level in the aftermath of the academy.

Applicants need to:

• come from and be supported by a national teacher training institution, education centre or NGO responsible for in-service training of teachers;
• have the readiness and possibility to run a training event on citizenship and human rights education in cooperation with their respective institution;
• be motivated to improve their work or identify the need to improve trainings for teachers;
• reside in one of the 13 South East Europe countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Turkey and Kosovo.
